A little about me

 

Jenna Schaefer is a multifaceted artist, well adjusted middle child, and recognized as an accomplished actor, director, and choreographer based in Hamilton & Toronto.

Her journey began at George Brown College in the Dance Performance Studies Program studying under Ballet Jörgen. Upon graduation, Jenna collaborated with the Royal Conservatory of Music and RT: Collective, and she is one of the founders of New Blue: Emerging Dance, a five-year-running festival dedicated to elevating emerging dance artists.

With her expired knees, Jenna transitioned into filmmaking. Her dance film, Scraps of You, premiered at dance: made in canada. She recently directed an episode of Unrepentant – Iconic Women in History, a web series produced by acclaimed Canadian actress Jennifer Dale (The Shrouds, X-Men - the animated series). Her debut narrative short, Nicky Nine Doors, had its world premiere at the CSA-qualifying Hamilton Film Festival and Toronto premiere at the CSA-qualifying Blood in the Snow Film Festival.

Jenna's on-screen presence has garnered critical attention, particularly in the Shudder original horror film, The Strings. She also starred in Benevolent, which went on to screen at 16 festivals across North America, and is now available to stream on Amazon Prime in the US & the UK.

A proud Sagittarius, Jenna balances her artistic pursuits with a love for travel and scrapbooking, and a growing obsession with plants.
